Parents of Francis aged 4 - who left in Aug 2014

Friendly, sympathetic and informative staff; great resources and activities; lovely cosmopolitan grub...our little boy spent 18 very happy months here and it was a sad day when he had to leave to begin primary school. Best nursery in Leeds. - Francis's Dad

On recommendation from a friend who was a happy client at Chapeltown Community nursery two decades ago it is still a special place with a relaxed, safe and free environment. Every child made to feel important and valued as an individual. My son adored his friends and his key person xxxx Francis's Mum

Parents of Enaya who attended (2011-2013) and Cobi aged 2 who currently attends

I cannot recommend Chapeltown Community Nursery enough. Each and every staff member are fantastic and do a amazing job, they really do love and nurture each and every child who attend the nursery, which is why my daughter loved attending, to the point were she would wake up on a monday morning excited to get ready for another week of nursery time.

Its amazing how much she learnt, not just the usually ofstead things like, how to count or how to write her name but the nursery also help teach her how to share and respect others, also teaching her about many different cultures i.e Caribbean Carnival, Chinese New Year, Saint Patricks Day, Diwali, Eid and many more. Also learning things about nature, she loved helping build and look after the nursery's Butterfly Garden.

So it was a no brainer that we put are son on the nursery waiting list before he was even born! He started his place at the nursery at the beginning of September 2014, and i have 100% trust and faith that he will also have such amazing learning journey at this nursery.

Cobi celebrating his 2nd birthday at nursery

Parent of Tobi aged 4

My son started at Chapeltown Community Nursery a few days after his 2nd birthday. The staff did everything to ensure that the transition was smooth, making sure that they engaged him in a variety of activities. He enjoyed nursery so much that he looked forward to going even if he was unwell, and was disappointed when he had to stay at home in bed to recover. During his time at CCN, I have watched my son develop in leaps and bounds. His vocabulary became expansive; he grew in stature and confidence and learnt valuable life skills such as caring and sharing for your neighbours and friends as well as your environment. Taking part in making a butterfly garden,  growing potatoes, going on nature walks, learning how to use the computer, celebrating cultural festivals and everyday learning through play are just a few of things that the children enjoy whilst in attendance at the nursery. My son’s experiences at nursery, I am sure, have set him up for life.  Chapeltown Community Nursery is like a family where the staff are invested in the education of the children, who when they leave there, go on to become valuable members of the society.

Parents of Diego (2010 to 2013)

We can remember Diego's first day at Chapeltown Community Nursery as if it was yesterday. The nursery has a really good system of gently settling a new child in, so we brought him in around 9.30am and one of us stayed with him for a few hours in case he got upset and needed a cuddle. But he just dived straight in! He immediately fell in love with the staff, the other kids, the amazing freshly cooked food, and the incredible outdoor adventure playground where he learned all of his football skills with Stephen. Diego had previously been at different nursery for a year, and although we liked it, there was a slightly impersonal feel about, a bit like a factory farm of childcare with so many kids and little time to get to know the people who would be caring for our son everyday. Chapeltown Community Nursery is very different because you and your children are up close and personal with the staff. It's like a big extended family, full of warm and friendly people who genuinely care about children's development and welfare in ways that we have never experienced anywhere else. Staff are hard working and go the extra mile to ensure the kids have a stimulating and fun time. We were amazed at how much Diego learned and how fast he developed here. He got the perfect start in life. Thank you, Chapeltown Community Nursery!
